About Our Privacy Policy

We care deeply about your privacy. Therefore, we only process data that is necessary for (improving) our services, and we handle the information we collect about you and your use of our services with care. We will never provide your data to third parties for commercial purposes.

This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and services provided by JIKC. The effective date of this policy is November 8, 2023, and any new versions will supersede previous versions. This privacy policy outlines the data we collect about you, how we use it, and with whom, and under what conditions, we may share your data. We also explain how we store your data, how we protect it from misuse, and what rights you have regarding your personal data.

If you have any questions about our privacy policy, you can contact us; contact details are provided at the end of this policy.

About Data Processing

Below, you can read how we process your data, where it is stored, what security measures we use, and who has access to your data.

Web Hosting

DKHosting

We use web hosting and email services from DKHosting. DKHosting processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. These are not personal data. DKHosting has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent the loss and unauthorized use of your personal data. DKHosting is obligated to confidentiality under the agreement.

We use DKHosting for our regular business email communication. This party has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data. DKHosting does not have access to our inbox, and we treat all our email communications confidentially.

Payment Processors

Mollie

To process payments (or parts of payments) in our webshop, we use Mollie's platform. Mollie processes your name, address, city, and payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to improve their services and, in this context, share (anonymized) data with third parties. All the guarantees mentioned above regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the services provided by Mollie’s third-party partners. Mollie does not store your data longer than legally permitted.

Shipping and Logistics

If you place an order with us, it is our task to deliver your package to you. We use DHL services to carry out deliveries. To do so, we need to share your name, address, and city with DHL. DHL uses this data only to fulfill the contract. If DHL subcontracts to third parties, DHL will also share your data with these parties.

General Purpose of Processing

We only use your data for the purposes of our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the service you have requested. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we wish to use it to contact you at a later time (other than at your request), we will explicitly ask for your consent. We will not share your data with third parties, except to fulfill accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are bound by confidentiality agreements with us.

Automatically Collected Data

Data automatically collected by our website is processed to improve our services. This data (such as your IP address, web browser, and operating system) is not personal data.

Cooperation with Fiscal and Criminal Investigations

In some cases, Joen Krouwel may be legally required to share your data as part of a fiscal or criminal investigation by the authorities. In such a case, we are compelled to share your data, but we will resist this within the legal possibilities available to us.

Retention Periods

We retain your data as long as you are a client of ours. This means we keep your client profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you notify us, we will treat this as a "right to be forgotten" request. This also means that we will not keep your data for more than two years from the last contact or transaction unless a legal justification exists. Due to applicable administrative obligations, we are required to retain invoices containing your (personal) data. We will retain this data for as long as the applicable period runs. However, staff will no longer have access to your client profile or any documents created as part of your service.

Your Rights

Under Dutch and European law, you have certain rights regarding the personal data we process on your behalf. Below, we explain what these rights are and how you can exercise them. To prevent misuse, we will generally send copies of your data only to the email address we already have on file. If you wish to receive the data at another email address or by post, we may ask you to verify your identity. We maintain a record of requests, and in the case of a "right to be forgotten" request, we keep anonymized data. All copies and extracts of your data will be provided in a machine-readable format used in our systems. You always have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) if you believe we are processing your personal data incorrectly.

Right of Access

You have the right to access the data we process about you, or that can be traced back to you. You can request this information from our privacy contact. We will respond to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send a copy of all data stored about you to the email address we have on file, along with a list of processors who have access to this data.

Right to Rectification

You have the right to request that we correct data that we process about you if it is inaccurate. You can submit this request to our privacy contact. We will respond to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you confirmation to the email address we have on file that the data has been corrected.

Right to Restriction of Processing

You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your data if you believe it is inaccurate, unlawful, or no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected. You can submit this request to our privacy contact. We will respond to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you confirmation that the data will not be processed until you lift the restriction.

Right to Data Portability

You have the right to request that we transfer the data we process about you to another party. You can submit this request to our privacy contact. We will respond to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data about you in a machine-readable format. If this request is made, we may no longer be able to continue our services as the secure transfer of data cannot be guaranteed.

Right to Object and Other Rights

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of Joen Krouwel in specific cases. If you object, we will immediately stop processing your data while we handle your objection. If your objection is justified, we will provide you with copies of the data we process about you and will permanently stop processing it. You also have the right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in such a way that this right applies. If you believe we do, please contact our privacy contact.
